I am Stephanie Noble-King, a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and spiritual coach/mentor. I have lived and worked in 9 different countries, and have traveled to 38. Through my cross-cultural adventures, I recognized that most mental health issues had a common root - feelings of disconnection and isolation, trouble with self-awareness, low self-esteem, and of course, difficulty communicating in relationships.
As a young cancer survivor, I am no stranger to pain or suffering. My experience has molded who I am as a therapist and has allowed me unique insight into death anxiety, spirituality, and unexpected life changes.
I believe mindfulness is important for any individual's well-being, whether it is finding joy in life's little pleasures or feeling a connection to spirit. I have been meditating since I was thirteen years old and have enjoyed a wide-range of spiritual training. I implement aspects of holistic spiritual practices and energy work into my life and, if desired, with clients.
Writing comes naturally to me. From my very first poem at eight years old, to my first short story at twelve, to the hundreds of small essays I have created over the years - writing was my first true love. I also believe writing can be therapy, all by itself. Our stories have shaped us, and our words have great power that can help or hinder our desire for personal change.
As a highly sensitive person, I have a deep appreciation and understanding of how our emotions impact our health and happiness, and love to experience life at its fullest through art, music, nature, and travel. I love hiking in nature and feel most connected to the world when I am walking amongst the California redwoods. I also enjoy photography in my spare time, and all photos on this website are copyright me, and capture moments from my own travels and experiences.
